Welcome to Discovery School of the Arts (DSA)!

Our mission is that all students master the academic and social skills necessary to be responsible and successful citizens of our community.  We maintain a focus on rigorous instruction in the California State Standards, while offering many engaging learning experiences that inspire student creativity, collaboration and critical thinking in order to develop the communication skills necessary to succeed in college and career readiness. Student leadership is a large part of Discovery School of the Arts culture providing service learning opportunities.
Discovery Students have a daily opportunity to show their S.H.I.E.L.D. As Discovery Knights we focus on Safety, Honor, Integrity, Excellence, Leadership and Determination!  

Discovery School of the Arts is known for their comprehensive arts program that is embedded throughout the instructional day. Children benefit from a research-based curriculum in all core subject areas. Students are placed in differentiated learning communities based on common grade level assessments which are aligned to the standards. Emphasis is placed on movement within these communities, including mainstreaming of Special Education students, student engagement, EL designated and integrated instruction, and professional training. 

We encourage family involvement. Parent/guardian involvement is key to student success! We offer many opportunities for you to support our school and volunteer your time.
